Explore the serene garden where Sai Baba used to meditate and spend time in solitude.
Lendi Baug Shirdi
Sai Baba’s Lendi Bagh, situated northwest of his Samadhi temple, transformed from wasteland to lush garden with a well, nurtured by Baba himself. Amidst neem and peepal trees, he meditated, tending a perpetually burning lamp. He entrusted maintenance to his devoted follower, Abdulla.
Baba’s daily ritual included solitary meditation in the Lendi Bagh, shunning followers. Nanda Deep, a symbolic lamp, still radiates within a temple-like structure between the sacred trees. Nearby, a temple honors Lord Dattatreya. Pilgrims visit Shyamsunder’s tomb, a cherished horse of Baba, in Lendi Gardens, perpetuating the spiritual legacy in this serene haven.
